Gotta love JWs

It's been a while since the Jehovah's Witnesses came round to visit. Two of them spent 40 minutes this afternoon trying to convince me that Jesus had returned to earth in 1914, and that there had been no other empires between the fall of Rome in 410 AD and the British Empire. It's all in the book of Daniel, apparently.

Yay!

Six years, one change of course and one long-term illness later, I've now finally finished my degree.

I feel really weird. This is the first time that I can remember not having an essay to do and/or not having to get up to go to work in the morning. It is so deeply satisfying to mention that fact 100 times a day to my housemates who will be up at 7am for work tomorrow :)

Breathes big sigh of relief.

Almost done!

If you're wondering why things have been a bit quiet of late, it's because I'm in the middle of my finals. I've got one exam left to go on Friday and then I'm finished. I wrote so much in my exam yesterday that I woke up with cramp in my shoulder this morning. Ouch.

In the meantime, go and read the Daily Gazelle. It's funny. This clip of a frustrated gamer is also funny/disturbing (H-T: Paul Morgun)

If you've e-mailed me in the last two weeks I apologise that I haven't replied yet.

Oh, and for the record I won't be signing the T4G schismatic nonsense statement of faith.

New things

I've added some recommended books to my sidebar that you might want to purchase via Amazon. Ideally you'll all buy about 10,000 books each, that way I'll have raised enough cash to pay off my student loan.

I've also added two more essays to my resources page, one on Political Holiness, and one on Kosmos in Johannine theology.

All this new-found free time means that I'll have more time to update the site. I've started by finishing the About Me page.
